Christmas Events In and Around Mayfair 2018

Park Chinois is lucky enough to be surrounded by many celebratory Christmas events to enjoy this season. We have put together a list of our favourite in and around Mayfair.

Winter Wonderland

The name says it all. Winter Wonderland is a must do for locals and visitors to London. Taking over nearly half of Hyde Park there is so much to do that a quick visit is not possible. There is something for everyone with Christmas markets under sparkling lights, a Santa Land for the children to meet the fat man in red and explore his workshop and many rides and games for all ages.

A highlight for us is sitting in the ferris wheel with a hot cup of mulled wine while looking over London.

Regent Street Lights

The city’s largest light installation ‘The Spirit of Christmas’ has now been turned. Enjoy an evening of late night shopping on the famous street with entertainment under 300, 000 twinkling lights.

While you are there make sure you visit the recently refurbished Burberry flagship store that has an installation features eighty cameras that take 360-degree photos and vinyl record players that play acapella DJ sets throughout the store.

Mayfair Christmas Markets

Just across the road from Park Chinois, the whole of Mayfair Place will be closed off to traffic and transformed into a truly festive experience for two days on Friday 30th November and  Saturday 1st. Browse the stalls holding a glass of champagne and when you are finished pop in for lunch or dinner.

The Mount Street Christmas Lights

Alongside many of the world’s best luxury boutiques the Mount Street Christmas Tree outside The Connaught Hotel will be unveiled. The tree last year was designed by Tracey Emin, decorated with a specifically written poem written in her signature neon script. Once the tree has been turned on explore the boutiques nearby that are no doubt to have the perfect gift for even the hardest  to buy for.

Brown Hart Gardens Christmas Markets

Just a stones throw from Selfridges, leave the hustle of Oxford Street and retreat away to the Brown Hart Gardens Christmas Markets. The markets have been extended for a full week with stalls selling gifts and food such as scented candles, French and Italian hampers, crêpes and galettes, and Bavarian sausages.
